This is my first foray into the world of blogdom. I, like most people my age, embrace the new technologies and social media, but I can’t imagine that people would want to hear what I have to say. It seems pretentious or egotistical. However, talking about the DFW area is something worthwhile that would interest many people. So here goes ...

First you have to understand that I love the Dallas area. I don’t just like living here, I LOVE it. It’s not that it is perfect – of course there are things we all have to work together to improve, but compared to anywhere else in the entire world – I choose DFW. I have lived in 7 – 8 different states and visited scads more, but when you consider the whole package, Dallas area comes out on top!

You have to love the weather – not much cold, the occasional snow or ice – just enough to keep you from being bored and enjoy a day off. If you think the summers are too hot, just remember we don’t have high humidity and most of us are in air conditioning a big part of the day. I personally love the summers. After living in the north for years, I can never get enough of them.

I will talk about all things DFW, but when you tune in, know that I am usually going to be positive about it all because DFW Rocks! Come back next week when I talk about why DFW makes financial sense!
